Dear EHHS Community,
It is our commitment to provide our students, staff, parents/guardians and visitors with a safe, controlled environment.  We need to be able to monitor our entrances and egresses so that we are aware of people within our building.
After collecting two months of student data, looking at arrival times, areas of where students gather and specific numbers associated with both aspects, we’ve determined that students will not enter the building until 6:45 a.m.  The school will be locked up through 6:45 a.m. to students and then opened for the arrival of the buses, walkers and drop offs.  Once school has begun at 7:30 a.m., the school doors will be locked again and entrance allowed through the front door.

Our staff will be using keyless entry cards that will be assigned in the next few weeks.  Each card will be individually coded allowing our staff to access the building between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.
In closing, students will not be able to enter EHHS until 6:45 a.m.  This will go into effect on April 1st, 2013.  In the event that they are dropped off early or walk to school prior to that time, they will need to wait in front under the cover of our main entrance awning OR outside the building.  We appreciate your support as we continue to maintain and monitor the safety and security of our building.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Director of Security, Mike Moan, at Central Office (at 622-5153).  Thank you in advance for your cooperation in keeping our school safe and secure.
